I would drive my wife crazy hanging around the house all day.
I found my truck only 20 miles away parked in a garage for the last 40 years. The owner agreed to a barter trade, he got a new roof on his house and I got the old truck. Started in October and finished in June just in time for the car show at the Chevy dealership in Missoula. This was my first vehicle restoration project, boy did I learn alot. I did all the work myself except for help with rewiring and some great tutoring on paint and body work from friends. I probably have 1000 hours of labor into it.
This truck is very close to original except for the paint color. I customized the bed like most guys did in 1928 because the factory did not have an option. (cab only)
Wherever I drive this rig it puts a smile on people and a big thumbs up. I enjoyed the project so much that its now a hobby/business. This year I'm doing a 54 and a 41. Thanks for all the technical help from so many bolters out there. | | |
