The Stovebolt Site Forums Welcome! Welcome Centre 1952 3100 (NC)

Hello I'm John Criss. Joined Stovebolt about two weeks ago and have been hooked ever since. I purchased my first classic just before Christmas a surprisingly easy sell to the wife (best ever). It is a 52 3100 with a 235 and 4 speed from a 60 or 61 from the info I've gotten. It's a running project. I don't have much mech anical background but am waaay excited to get started. I'll probably pick a lot of brains and gladly share any knowlege I might gain along the. Proud to be a new Stovebolter in Asheville NC.

Congrats!!! The stovebolt world is one that is enjoyed by those already in it and perhaps a bit perplexing to those outside of it. There are tons of info here and huge wealths of knowledge within the members. Welcome to the bolt! And if you ever REALLY lose your mind, get a big bolt! Whole new world of adventure there.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I definately would like to get the information on the Southern Bolters Its good to know there's a group fairly close by, thanks for the invite Achipmunk. Hey lunchbox, while big is definately beautiful I'm going to work on the 3100 and see if I can make it happen. Definately going to try to make the reunion. Got a truck question, I need to replace the radiator, any suggestions on who produces a good paroduct without breaking the bank. my short term goal is to get her in better running condition. After that it's gaskets, seals, and valve adjustment. what little I have driven her I have had so much fun and want to have a lot more. will try to get some photos up soon. Thanks again

Welcome to the Bolt! Your mechanical questions can be best answered on some of the other forums on this website--General Truck Talk would be a good place to start. Also do a search. There has been a lot of discussion here about radiators in the past.
