It will need a grill for certain. Just curious as to who supplys decent repop parts for this model? Is Chevys of the 40's the only game in town? Has anyone used their grill with good results on fit and finish? Many, if not most, are made in China and are frankly there only because no other options are available. There are a number of quality repop parts but don't be surprised if what arrives at your door needs some tweaking to make it work. Chevs of the 40s is one jobber. The Filling Station is another. Take the "links" link at the top of the page. You'll find a list with others. Are you planning to restore or rod it?

I would much rather use original grill and trim ect... but it seems '37 pieces are real hard to come by.

Unless your in a hurry, take your time, look around for parts at different vendors. Lots to consider. Also give the swap meet a chance. Never know what is out there at the time your looking.
On the other hand, I purchased a Stainless Steel grille for my 37 back about 1999 and its still in great shape. Got it from I&& Reproductions in Ca. Wasn't cheap then and certainly not now but has been worth the money in the long run....vs some chrome job that will crack or blister.

Finding good used parts is pretty tough but not impossible. All the trucks from 1/2 ton to 5 ton will interchange piece except the front fenders, 1/2 and 3/4 ton only, 1 ton on up use bigger openings.

I did buy a set of original fenders out of AZ for the pickup. I guess I'm just itching to start on the project. Trouble is, I haven't got it home yet. I will know better what I'm in for once I'm able to take stock of what I really need. | | |
