Kurt, Les, and Paul or in Raliegh and some close to or in Greensboro, I think a couple in Winston, and I know of one or two in Salisbury.

It helps to keep an eye on the state when someone makes a post. I usually jot them down and put them in a "southern Stovebolt list". Just last night I noticed a new guy from N.C. and sent him an email to see if its OK to add him to "my southern stovebolt list".
It won't take long and you'll have a idea of all those around you. Good luck.

If you will email me your address I can put YOU on my southern list and then you can see all the ones I already have from around our area. So far I have over 70 names. Shoot me a PM.

dukedaddy, I've got you on the list. Plan to come to the Reunion which will be the last weekend in April or the second weekend in May....."possibly" the first weekend in May? We'll nail it down soon. I'll post it here and send out to my list.

..oldchevytrucks, gosh, I was close to you about two weeks ago. My wife and I were in Shalotte visiting her father. We plan to maybe make another trip later this month...and I have a former bother-in-law in TopSail. Never been to his place though.

Glad to hear from you.

Kurt,

I'm the "new" guy in Raleigh (Raleigh '58). Starting my frame-off restoration of a '58 Chevy Apache Stepside I bought from an NC State Forestry graduate student in 1986. I have never driven my truck and had to tow it home behind my 1978 Ford Bronco. cool picture, Ford towing a Chevy.

Anyway, I did see your message to me earlier regarding an invitation to the reunion.

Home e-mail I see on weekends: mclean5857@bellsouth.net.

John,

Great to have you check in.

Are you saying you bought this truck in 1986 and its been waiting patiently all this time for you to get to it? Wow.

What part of Raleigh are you in? I'm near Ridge Road and Wade Avenue....

Yes, I have owned this truck since 1986, and it has been cmpletely disassemble that entire time. She has waited very patiently to be rejuvinated. We are in the Northridge area near Ravenscroft School. Been there since the Fall of 2001.

Spanky, I've been wondering when you would chip in here. I did some work for Collins and Aikman near Greenville, N.C. and drove by Burlington many times. Didn't know you then or we could have been eating hot dogs and drinking cold Pepsi's!!

..think you can make the Southern Reunion this year? Heck, for some reason I don't even have you on the Southern list?? We can fix that!!

I live in Holly Springs...pretty close to Raleigh. Just finished a 51 that I worked on since July. Banged it up on New Years day. Front end is pretty messed up...so I'll be looking for a hood, front bumper, grill, and a drivers side front fender.

That would have worked. Burlington is Famous for good hot dogs. I even won a hot dog eating contest back in the '90's in Greensboro. Still can't believe I ate 22 fully loaded hot dogs. I must have been crazy. I'll have to see what i'm doing come reunion time. I'm working pretty hard on this '52 GMC COE. I want to finally finish one for a change. Sold all the others, so I can concentrate on just one. I still have a '51 1/2 ton Chevy, & '63 Impala SS, on the back burner.

Hey Alvin --- you've got one here in Beautancus, Duplin County, NC

Have a "49 4400 that I purchased in a combo deal. To get the truck I had to also get a Gleaner "G" combine with a Chevy 350(does this count as a stovebolt). Sold the corn head off the combine and got my money back for the deal.
