Hello Are there any Big Bolt Fans here in the Columbia Mo area .I was hit from behind on I-70 last Sun Night(12/11/11) by a semi box truck .I was towing my 1947 6400 2ton I bought in WA state back to Knoxville TN .I had a little jap truck on the 47 flatebed both were destroyed .and my tow truck was also badly damaged .It was a comercial truck that hit me . So if there is some one in this area with some open space please call me eight-six-five - two-seven-four -six-five-zero-nine ,I need some help to keep from getting screwed by from this companys insurance.
Thanks Paul Nolz
PS I have some pics I can send

Paul Here the driver of the wrecked trucks
It was like out of Hollywood Movie one minute all was ok and was thinking I was almost home and then there was this explosion of sorts next thing I was going backwards down the Hwy with the 47 to the right side of me then I saw the Headlights of the truck that hit me comeing dead at me ,like he was going to hit me head on this time but we then skidded to a stop in the median .We both got out and he kept saying are you all wright I'm so sorry I wasn't looking . The a local Deputy Sheriff shows up but is overwhelmed with the carnage of my spare wheels and stuff that was ejected on impact.and can do nothing to slow traffic dow, .So some poor guy launches his pickup by hittin one of my spare tires for the big bolt dead center and just barley keeps from rolling then some young lady tries to slow down and some idot hits her in a chevy Taho doing about 65-70 mph so thats what happened.
I'm proud to say the Big Bolt kicked the big trucks butt It did not die without a good fight .It totaly destroyed the 2011 4400 International,it pushed the motor out of engine compartment a broke the drive shaft off at the yoke .Just punishment for killing a big bolt .Also what helped save me was I used this big trucker chain as a safty chain bolted to my bumper. It kept me from rolling over and you know what happens when a 4X4 rolls it does not end up good for the person inside .Plus 1st the the bed of the 47 crumpled like an accordian then the towbar then the bed on the pickup this also helped a lot to keep me alive. Will Keep you all posted to what happens next
PS The little blue truck was on the flatebed of the 47 and was also ejected this is the truck I drove to Montana to pick up the Dodge power wagaon first then on to WA were the 47 was.

Paul, sorry to hear about the accident. Its gotta be tough. I wish I was closer but maybe some of the local bolters will see
this before spending the weekend doing honey-do list. There are some big bolts in Mo. so maybe there is hope. Good luck.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

Just talked to Paul and it looks like I can help him out. I have met the owner of the towing/storage company. His dad is my next door neighbor and his brother's mow my hay.
Looks like I can at least supply storage for his trucks until he can settle with the insurance and get a plan together on what he wants to do. I may be able to help him out more if he doesn't mind stepping up to a 48 2-Ton for a good price.

Alvin, My buckeye finaly split open, but it is still working and I will be looking for a new one.

Way to go Don. Nothing worse than being stranded far from home, don't ask me how I know.

Yes Leo
Helping someone out like this, is just payback for all those, that have helped me out in the past. And there have been plenty of times!
Paul, Can you post some pictures?

Paul came by Sunday, he and the truck driver are OK.
I told him he can bring them to my place until he figures out what he is going to do with them.
It will depend on the insurance company.
