hi guy's can any one tell me if you can put a 47-53 grill on a 54 coe cab ? I found a 54 coe but I like the 47-53 grill better thanks Mike

The front fenders will have to be swapped too, there's a flat spot that coinsides with the grill that the earlier trucks don't have,

If you find a set of earlier grill/fender/emblems (which are relatively rare, this being a COE), be sure to keep and sell your 54 COE parts (which are even rarer).

Wouldn't be a bolt up swap. Only way it would work, would be a complete front clip swap, but then the cowl is shapped different around the cowl vent, & would cause problems with hood closing.

well, it sounds like I would be better off to learn to like the 54 front clip more !! it's not that I don't like the 54. I had just pictured the 47-53 in in my mind when I started this build . thank you all for the info. Mike

I was the same way. I Preferred the look of the '47-'53 Chevy COE's more so, than the '54/'55 1st series Chevy, but as i set out to find one a '54 was also my first. I learned to like it. I later found what I was looking for, & some 30 COE's later, i've only owned three '54/'55 Chevy COE's. I later preferred the '47-'55 GMC COE's, over the Chevy COE's.
