Yep, I think I would call it done also. And judging by the interior shots that you showed, I'd say it's pretty well complete on the inside also! Nice work!!

Thanks to you both. But that's why you should not believe what you see on the Internet. Dash is painted, done at the same time as exterior, and most all wiring is in and working. Seat is installed but bare foam, no door panels, A-pillar covers, headliner or carpet or weatherstripping. Getting cose to it all coming together though - my goal is complete before New Year's.

As for the paint, dont tell anyone but it's Maaco. I have a buddy that does some awesome muscle car restorations and he has a specific one that he has used when budgets were low, like mine. It's all in the prep, and other than the cab and hood, most everything was new. It's a 10 footer to be sure, and if you look you'll see the flaws. But it was always intended to be a 10 footer as it's a daily driver and I didn't want to have to cry every time I got a rock chip. Much better for my mental health.

Nice job, I just bought Jim Arrabito's Stinger with plans to take it to the next level. I love what you did to the dash and was wondering where the gauges came from.

Thanks. I bought the dash as a set off eBay, the gauges are Dolphin, which is who I think the seller actually was. I'm pretty sure with them the color dictates the type font. I used tan which goes well with the paint colors and has a vintage font to boot. The panel insert is a triple 3-3/8" unit, Dolphin carries them.

That is one of the coolest two tones I have seen. I really like how subtle it is! Happy stovebolting!

Thanks Chev and Joe. I drive it every day. Still debugging the timing curve but generally it's fine. Interior is almost ready to hand over to upholsterer. Just yesterday I found the interior trim pieces that hold the windlace. I had just made plywood pieces 2 weeks ago that would be fine when covered, but snagged 'em anyway.

The two tone is obviously not original but, at least to me, it looks very period correct. I had seen a photo of a '39 with a grey two-tone that was similarly subtle and that was my inspiration. It hides dirt like you wouldn't believe. I hadn't washed it in several months but you could barely tell, unless you looked at the wash mitt.
