I got a 66 L-60 with the stock 20" widow makers on it and I'm looking to replace them but for the life of me I cant find any that will fit. They are 10 lug 8.75" with 6.25 hub and they are hub piloted.

Only wheels I have found that fit are the accuride 28160 but they are discontinued and the only place I could find them want $350 a wheel. Does anyone know where I can get some safer wheels or have a part number I could search for?

Jake, I don't know if I can really help but it seems not long ago someone listed a place that has them or one that can MAKE them. Pricey I'm sure but sounded like some could be made..... as I recall they could do several sizes. You may want to check on down the big bolt list of post for the past month or two.....
but someone may see this and remember???

just trying to help.

Mike, the Accuride part number 28160 he gave is the 22.5" wheel.

look on page 12

If you're finding that they are now obsolete keep looking and calling around because they were available quite recently and someone may still have some in stock.

Also check http://www.wheelsnowinc.com/ they have a huge selection of stuff in stock.

They are not uncommon in junk yards, it'll take some searching but I have no doubt that you can find some used ones at a reasonable price.

call the old farm towns, there are a ton of them out there and they know how to put them tires on. there is nuthing wrong with the old intertube tires just need to make sure you take it to a guy that knows what they are doing and dont beat the hell out of the slip ring. But like i said check the small town, the farmers still use them tires all the time. I got two front tires for a little over $500 the brand i was able to find are Samson highway tires, and these are brand new tires.

If he has Firestone RH5 rims it is HIGHLY recommended to scrap them and at least find serviceable lock ring type wheels.

I have been calling around and the only ones I can find are just way to expensive. I think I may go out to my uncles junk yard this weekend and look for a newer truck that I could use to swap axles. This will also make it easier to find brakes, bearings and other parts for. Thanks for the tips guys

They are the accurides that are discontinued so they are tubeless 6.75 X 22.5 it cost $1670 for 7 of them and that includes them painting the rims black and the shipping cost.
