Hello everyone, and thanks for allowing me to share your forum.

My name is Gus and I'm in Fountain Valley, (southern) California. I've had a passion for vintage vehicles for the past 35+ years and there seems to be no sign of backing off. I've owned an eclectic assortment of cars and trucks including a 1925 Dodge Brothers Roadster, 1936 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup, 1929 Hudson Coupe, 1940 Cadillac, 1953 Ford sedan, 1965 Mustang, etc. All were stock daily drivers. Many were restored, some original (my favorite).

I've had my 1962 C-10 short bed step side just about a year now. I've been using it as my daily driver for the past five months.

A lot of the restoration work was done by the previous owner. I think his intent was to restore it to stock, but in some cases he began to stray from that objective. There were some things that were not restorted at all, and some other things were questionably done. It sure wasn't very reliable! But at this point, after a few months work, I think it's pretty close to a restored stock truck and reliable.

I'll post a question later about the clutch on my '62.

thanks again,
Gus

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
