Great Website. Last October I bought a '48 GMC 253 #3048. I bought it as something to get running, and drive it, as is, kind of thing. You know, a couple of weeks and I'll be on the road. Well, now it's all apart. Be back soon. Thanks 48jim1ton

Link is working. Thanks for the pictures.
I chuckled when I read your statement again about it now being all apart. Most of us have been there and are now here for moral support smile The truck looks to be in pretty good shape so maybe your pile of parts will go back together pretty easy....did I say "easy"? LOL
Thanks for the update. Keep trucking.....see you at the Stovebolt Reunion in Kansas??

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Hi Jim,welcome.
I wonder how many of us started that way, you know,I think i'll turn this round in a couple of weeks/months.
Before you know it you've got a full blown restoration on your hands!
Looks like mother nature's been kind to the old gal though!
Good luck.
Jock.

Welcome Jim, hope you're right about on the road in a couple weeks. I'll be checking up on you as I'll be driving through St Louis in about a month from now. Good luck!

Welcome to Stovebolt! Please write up a nice story as you work on it, and in a few months, send us a picture of it put back together. I will send it on to Peggy to put in the Gallery. She wants stories and names and pictures. Is your name Jim or is it because you have a GMC ? Good luck. Looking forward to the progress!
