I'm busting my butt to have this truck presentable for the Nats in Louisville on Aug 4th and the Frog Follies in Evansville on the 26th. With any luck at all If I can get it back by Monday I will get her bolted back up by Wed evening. I'm very experienced in putting and taking it apart! LOL. If I get a few drives and runs out of her by fall I'll pull her down one more time for final paint. It really gets exciting when the light at the end of the tunnel gets brighter.

You've got a great looking truck there. The only thing I would remove is that silly Volunteer helmet on the firewall. Replace it with a Memphis helmet. lol

Thanks for the tip on mothertruckeraz@aol.com I just sent him an email.

Got the drivers side electric window installed on the '53 and hopefully tonight will have the passenger side done (depending on what time the wife wants to go out for dinner).

MotherTrucker is a very good source for our rigs. I used him a lot back when I was bringing my beast back to life.

Removed the whole bed (again!)
I deemed this was easier to allow access to my chassis,as I've still a couple of modifications to do.
Called in the help of a couple of neighbours(the promise of a 'cold one' always helps!)
I also made a home brewed heater delete panel for my firewall.

Started at 9:30 this morning and had the engine out by noon. Not bad for working alone.

Time to shred the engine and get the parts to the machine shop!

John, it is "kewl". Your coming along nicely. Good idea to pull the bed. You can't fix it if you can't get at it!!

Got the windows finished and the power actuators installed on the ’53. Then mounted the interior panels on both doors.

It made sense Alvin,as the bed wasn't fully bolted down anyway, without the wood etc it didn't weigh much either.

I should have all the rear end welding work completed tomorrow night. Get some rear shocks and call it done!

After getting all the lights to work last week and a new horn and relay installed yesterday, today I got insurance on my truck so I can register it. I am really excited. Want to drive it for a couple of months and then I will start the body work.

Well, finally started tearing my 65 SWBF down. I was so amazed how few of sockets and wrenches it takes to get down to the front of the frame! I was not happy to find the radiator support in bad condition but the rest looked pretty good.

Next will be the bed removal.

Changed out the passenger side door window. Cleaned up the window channels and got everything realigned. Only wish I had new channels. Maybe when I get a few more coins.

The window looks great without the cracks! When I get more setting tape, I'll do the other side.

Had to order a replacement board because of a miss bore of the fuel inlet. Today I unpacked it drilled the correct hole and sanded it down, first with 240 grit, then with 320, and 400. Tomorrow I will put on the first coat of clear epoxy.

Had to cut the post off on the sending unit. It was grounding against a metal rib on the bottom of the seat on the 37.

...then it was off to Ga. to meet with Woogeroo and some other truck guys. The 37 loved the 85-95mph most of the way. Smooth as silk smile Just over 300 mile round trip.
