So, I have been wondering with all the parts that get replaced with new, but they have no core charge, is there someplace to send them off for the benefit of some future buyer? Like parts that can be refurbished or rebuilt, but that wasn't your route for restoration?

offer them as freebies in the swap here, or send them off to the scrap yard so the Chinese have more raw material to make the new parts from wink

Chevys of the forty's has (or had) a core purchase program. They had a tendency to lose stuff. I did get some benefit with the program.

Swap Meet here on the forum... or other forums.

put 'em in the bed of your truck next time you go to a car show/cruise in... with a sign on 'em... 'free to good home', etc.

I have incorporated several used parts on my '65 c10, so someone will use them for a good 'driver' vehicle.

Local places online or elsewhere... list the parts... might be an old chevy club near you or something.

As previously mentioned, make a list of what you have. Take pics. Maybe you'll find a few fellow members who'd be willing to pay the freight just to nab some of your parts.

If its "useable" I rebuild it and use it.
If its good but I don't need it I use it to help other bolters or use it as a trade piece, or give to someone who needs it.
If I scrape something you can bet its....well, scrape!

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
