There is quite a few shops making 8 lug to 10 lug adapters so that people with modern dually pickups can mount Big Rig 22.5 or 24.5 rims.
Question is if there anyone making it for the 6 lug (6-8.75)?
Ah, they adapters for the 8 lug ones are really expensive so there is maybe little to no incentive to get one for the 6-lug. I.e. is it better to get hold of later HD axels which has 10-bolt already?

PS: I'm just contemplating which way to go, since the single biggest expense putting the truck back on the road will be wheels and tires. A new hydrovac is cheap comparing it to the wheel and tire cost. | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 . | | . The recommended size for the 6-lug wheels are only 9", which isn't the most common size nowadays. Beside I have a hard time finding them as you might know  Cheers Dyna

Also Grigg narrowed the front axle for his 48, it takes advanced skill and should only be attempted buy the most skilled welders and no matter how good the job is done it best not show because I bet no DOT inspector anywhere would pass a front axle that was thought to have been cut and welded. | | |
