Thanks spanky. They're the stock 17" wheels with new tires. The dually in the background has 18" wheels. Not looking forward to buying 6 tires for those. frown

Thats very nice! i hope mine looks that good when i finish my 53.. Are those 3800 hood emblems original or reproduction.. Mine are missing and i am having a hard time finding some..

Those 3800 emblems are the original ones I sent off to have rechromed. I couldn't find repro ones anywhere. But, later after I had these rechromed, I think I saw them available at Jim Carter. I spent way too much money having those rechromed, but they're probably the prettiest 3800 emblems on the planet.

Hmmm...I was wrong about the 3800 emblems. I did find them at Jim Carter but they're smaller ones for earlier years.

Yeah they threw me for a loop at first too.. i thought i had lucked up.. Its never that easy! Having them rechromed was worth the money for sure

I think we have reached an accord. That truck is great. I'm going to pick one up this week with a running 248 GMC under the hood. '47 3800. I don't know if I'll keep the stock rims or not, I do have a full set.
