Are there different gaskets? It seems rather high. I can't get any more adjustment from the hinges. Ugh | | | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 | the cowl top seal won't affect positioning, it crushes easily .... the more likely problem is you have worn hinge pins, which allow the back of the hood to move up because of the spring tension - if the hood opens and closes well and lays right with the springs off, but stands proud at the back with the springs on, you need new hinges
