New motor-2nd time cam shaft lobe flat, bad valve seat-new cam, rebuilt head 350 chevy. Third time driving down road valve drops-blown engine 350 chevy. Whats up? Is Roush racing making all my chevy motors and part's? Going to have to put in another motor. Any one know of other's having this many problems on one truck? | | |

It,s pretty rare a small block drops a valve. I hear there is some problems with cam-lifter wear because the oils don,t have the additives for flat tappet cams since newer cars are using roller tappets. They recommend using deisel oil. I just buy a new Goodwrench engine for all I do. Everything is new & factory built.

The second I heard the noise I hit the clutch and switch, but it was too late, the damage was already done. There was absolutley no warning this was going to happen. (This was a rebuilt engine that came in the bus) | | |

Noticed two engine failures today on NASCAR, valve problems,unleaded gas? come on guys whats up? Going down for 4th engine here shortley. What am I missing? Should I run a 1/2qt. Diesel with tank of gas to keep from knocking seats out? :confused: | | |
