Actually this is the first time ever in one of my vehicles.
A mouse found its way into my truck , got in the glovebox, ate some stuff , made the usual mess and [censored] and poo in there.
I am so angry ,, I had a mint glove box, but the card it is made of has the mouse pee smell now and I don't know how to get the smell out.
one option is to buy a new glove box card,
All other thoughts and suggestions gratefully received. ps, I'm chemically sensitive so nothing too nasty thanks.

I have used ZEROODER to get rid of cat pee, now that's bad stuff! It works great! Spray in the area of the glove box to remove urine smell that leaked out from the box. Perhaps the ultimate proof of Zero Odor's power is this fact: Chromatograph odor measurements fell to "0" when Zero Odor was sprayed on samples of skunk odor | | | | | Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 486 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 486 | I've used Febreeze on furniture and it worked pretty good. Soaked the upholtery pretty good a couple of times.

Here's what I use; http://uniquedistributors.com/petodel.htmland it works. It's about $10 a quart, and can be found at some Ace hardware stores. Larry

Any of our vehicles that sit for more than a day during mating season become targets. I have to spray them all (the vehicles – not the squirrels) with pepper spray once or twice to keep the varmints away.

That stuff can be nasty and create respiratory illness and even death. Get it wet with water and bleach mix before you disturb it. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 70 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 70 | i doubt you will get the odor out of cardboard. I use white vinegar (neutralizes urine odor and makes everything smell like vinegar) then rinse with water, then sprinkle on baking powder to remove vinegar smell. Then a few days later, final rinse with water. this works well on metal surfaces. Pay attention to hantavirus (wet the mouse wastes and wipe up, don't make dust by sweeping or vacuming). | | | | | Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 1,096 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 1,096 | Thanks for all your thoughts guys , I see I will have to order a new one.
I didn't know about the hantavirus , so thanks for that info. Better served for next time , eh.
I see Jim Carter has the glovebox card for 25 bucks, plus shipping plus the exchange rate , hmmmm , ah well , so be it. | | |
