Hey guys, Brand new to this site, Thanks for having me. I'm brand new to these forums so please forgive me if I goof on this, my first post. I recently acquired an all stock 53 3/4 ton, long box with 216 and 4 speed on the floor. I've been doing repairs since it got here to FLA. just before Christmas last year. I am having difficulty gathering info on fluid type, location and levels. Specifically the trans, torque tube, rear end, etc. Need advice on motor oil type and quantity as well. This truck is extremely original, I do not believe it has been modified whatsoever. I sincerely appreciate any help/guidance I can get. It's ready to be put back on the road once the fluids are back in. Thanks.

To each his own but for me, and its original, I"d run 30wt. motor oil, 85-90 gear lube.
As far levels go you simply unscrew the plug on the back of the rearend and fill it till it wants to overflow... but be sure the vehicle is sitting on lever ground. Also, take the fill plug out of the tranny and do the same thing.
...and of coarse you know where the dipstick is to check the engine oil.

I'm sure others will chip in later with their opinions.
