For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2008 Posts: 7 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Aug 2008 Posts: 7 | When purchased, this pickup had 15in wheels installed. They weren't any good as the engine over revved at 40mph. According to the Load Capacity Chart, 1 ton trucks had 17in rims. Quite a problem finding 8-lug 17in wheels. Ended up finding them in a barn after posting a search ad. Clutch needs to be replaced. http://s1180.photobucket.com/albums/x408/Fleetmaster2/Chevrolet%201941%20Pickup%201%20ton/ | | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | ....thats a nice looking truck. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 2,989 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 2,989 | My Dad had a 46 1 ton pickup. Aside from the color and condition, it was almost exactly like your truck. I used to drive it to high school. I've always had a soft spot for a truck like that.
