About 1 month ago i spent 400 dollars for a rear end bearing install kit for my 51 and havent recieved it yet. Ive emailed many times to get no response, or "my computer is not working, ill check when i get home respose". im getting irritated. its too bad, i like their catalog but after this 1st order ive placed, I most likely wont do business again with them.

They responded fairly soon that they received my order and it would take a few weeks to send it out. I was quite happy with their service and product. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 1,299 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 1,299 | I understand your frustration but I feel like the advice to call them is sound. My experience with them has been that they bent over backwards to take care of customers. I bought a 3.55 gear set new off of ebay thinking I had done myself a great deal. It turns out that the set I bought was for a car instead of my truck. It was new in the box from Patrick's. I called and spoke with them and they traded kits with me no questions asked. They even paid the shipping back to me as they said the car kit had more expensive bearings that they felt covered the cost. When my research showed that my original kit came without the shim kit and driveshaft pin, they sent me the missing parts and I had to push them to let me pay for those parts.
Make the phone call and my bet is that your opinion of them will change after all is said and done. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 114 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 114 | | | | | | Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 4,960 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 4,960 | If you would go out there and meet Patrick and his son, you would understand they are not computer people. They still live in a mechanical world, and they still do business over the phone. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 549 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 549 | Another vote for great service from them. My deal was via phone as well. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 114 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 114 | | | | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 11 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 11 | I needed a short shaft water pump asap when installing my 235 and must say that they were tops in service, but i used that old fashioned "phone" thing. They knew exactly the issue I was having and shipped same day!

With the exception of GMC Paul's Truck Parts who only emails and works online... if anyone ever has any problem with any parts vendor, the quickest way to resolve it is by calling them on the phone.

He will take the time to help you over the phone, even if it something you should probably know. I would recommend him. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 Master Gabster | | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 | One factor not discussed in this thread is inventory. I have noticed in many orders I have had in the past six months, a delay in shipping due to a lack of product in inventory. It looks like the slow economy has resulted in vendors depleting inventories and now as they restock I have had to wait on delivery until they receive new stock. Some vendors are drop shipping orders which take longer as the order must go through two firms.
