Hey guys I have never done any restoration before and I was wondering if you all had any recommendations for any literature on restoring a classic truck. I want to do as much of the restoration as I can myself and do it right the first time.

Thanks!

How to restore your Chevrolet pickup by Tom Brownwell is a very good book if you are working on a Chevrolet.
Hope this helps.

Go to www.gregsonline.com and get a service manual for your vehicle.

Those two books are the only ones I used. Without the service manual, I would have been lost. Also, check in here for info as well. I am amazed at what is known amongst all the members here.

Go to the GM Heritage Centre and download data for your year of truck.

http://www.gmheritagecenter.com/gm-heritage-archive/vehicle-information-kits.html

They list back to 1930 for Chevrolet trucks.

I would also recommend the Factory Assembly Manual for your year of truck they don't cover everything but what they do is really helpful.
