Should one bond the reproduction pads directly to the fender or would it be better to bond to the old metal frame and then bolt that to the fender, like it was originally? Does anyone have any experience with this?

I will be bonding the rubber pads to the metal frames (I do not yet know what I will bond them with).

I followed the instructions on the can, put a thin coat on both pieces and they are still attached looking as good as new 30 years later! Mike B  | | |
