installed tranny in 63 fleetside c-10 inline 6----having problems getting into gears---linkage etc!!!!please help

Did it shift OK with the previous trans?

Also did you check to see if the trans shifted all 4 gears (3 Forward, 1 Reverse) before you installed it?

a 4 speed wouldn't have shift linkage, it's a top loader. Must be a 3 speed???

Seeing it's a C-10 and the mention of "Linkage" it sounds like he has a regular 3-Speed ??

could also be typical slop in the selector at the column. Where is your linkage trouble.. Up high, or down low?
