This is my 66 c10. I havent done anything to the truck yet. waiting on the time and money to get started. I call this my rebound truck. the reason for that is when my dad died i tried to buy his 72 gmc sprint from my mom. long story short my mom was basically selling my dads car/truck (whatever you wanna call it) to me at the same price she was asking everyone else. we worked it out where i would pay what i could when i could. so after a few months of my mom hassling me for money and my wife crying and getting mad i told mom to sell it. she did lower the price for me but by that time i had had enough between the two of them all the fun had gone out of the idea of having the sprint. so i let it go ( i will honestly regret that decision for the rest of my life) shortly after that i found this truck and decided what the heck ill buy it and fix it up. it has been a roller coaster ride of emotions since day one. this truck has been for sale many times and i have built it in my head just as many times. so far my ideas have been a lifted 4x4 a lowered hot rod and a more or less stock truck. the idea right now is a lowered hot rod truck. probably make it a short bed with the big back window conversion. right now the truck has a 305 and a 3 speed trans, it will soon have a 350 trans. for the color i know i am staying with the red and white two tone, however the red will be ppg blaze red crystal. and the white will be a pearl white. my choice for power will probably be a 383 stroker or 406. here is a link to some pics of the truck i will post more when i get started on it. i also have a pic of my dads sprint you will see i would have been much better off getting the sprint. i always tell my wife we paid 500 less for the c10 and got half the quality of vehicle. skydrive

Well, you did the right thing mgriff. Sometimes we just have to move on and hind sight is truly 20-20.

thanks guys the truck is pretty solid im just now getting excited again about it. i just made my first big purchase for it. hopefully in a month or so the truck will have a 400 sbc instead of the boat anchor 305
