For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 30 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 30 | I joined a couple of sites looking to learn and research older pick up trucks. I WAS looking in to a '56 (desired year but either a Chevy or GMC) Chevy NAPCO conversion but the owner has stopped replying. Oh well, more time to research, I guess.
Thanks for having me.

If the owner stopped replying, you likely need to look elsewhere. We have a swap meet here, check out the for sale section, you never know. Good luck.

Your at the right place for sure. Lots of knowledge and great folks around here.
Along with what Leo said about the swap meet (Trucks for Sale) you may want to take a peek in the Ebay/Craighlist forum. We have a couple guys that are great about posting links to trucks they think Stovebolters may be interested in. We're here to help and good luck on your search. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 3,750 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 3,750 | Hi Finster, welcome from Scotland,we've just come out from a freeze, now it's wet and windy. Hope you get dug out of the snow. We've had quite a bit in Minnesota this year also. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 866 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 866 | Welcome to the site. I've about given up on my search for the Winter, we've gotten hit with another 20 inches of snow so there's no way to get one home if I did find a project.
Thanks for the tips, I am still looking.

I'm not sure of what it started out as but when I bought it it had wood dumping stake side on it. I don't believe it is a stock stake side, I remember reading that proper stake beds had rounded corners and this didn't. The bed hoist is interesting and I'm planning to incorporate into my plans on getting this beauty back on the road. I expect to be having lots of questions.....after I use the search function :computer_punch:
