Yep, nice truck Pete, wish I were that far along with mine. The blue that we talked about is a dark blue, but it's a metalic unlike the Mariner Blue. Look forward to meeting him one day.

Pete,

Your cousin has a nice looking truck.

What type engine set-up does it have (year, size, carbs, manifolds)?

Might that be a 55-1st series truck? The hood side emblem is for a 1955 1st-series Chevrolet truck. Does it have the original rear end? If yes, does it have an open driveshaft?

Thanks for posting the link to the photos.

Thanks for posting the pics i am glad that people are enjoying them.It was a nice change to get away from the bike builds for awhile lets put our heads together and do a truck together it would be great to turn some wrenches with you reminisce about old times and create some new ones. Dan

inello,
I agree that the hood side emblem is a 55.1. Does it have an H54 or H55 serial number? Open drive shaft? Either way it is a beautiful truck. Congrats.

Thanks for the info Pete,

Holley-Weber crabs or Carter-Weber carbs (standard jets?)?
235 engine from a car?
54 or 55 truck (H54 or H55 on door-post metal ID plate)?

Hope he drives it often, with a big smile on his face.
