The last hold up is the tail lights. I am using LED's on the rear with little leds in the box rails. EVERYTHING worked prior to my rewire job. The led taillights work ok but the little lights work on Brake and Stop but will not light on Parking lights. They just glow a little. I know this should be sign of a bad ground but the same light works ok on stop and turn. Brake and turn are both same brightness so not surprising those work. Just guessing here - I think the LED's need to be designed for the 2 different levels of light. I suspect the LED tails have 2 sets of LED's - 1 for parking, that remains on, the other for brake and turn. I know the taillights are designed to work for both stop/turn, your "little lights" may not be. Don't know how you've wired them so not sure what might be happening. Something to look into until someone more knowledgeable chimes in.
I'm watching this because I get mine back from the painter in a few days and begin to rewire, and I'm using LED's all around.
'69 1/2T stepside, Sea Foam Green, 250 L6 w/ 3 on the tree, not an option on it, in the family since new.

Maybe the LED's do not draw enough current to allow a traditional flasher-tube to work properly. Some vendors offer solutions for this problem (this reality?) in the way of resistors and/or an updated flasher (for 12v lamps, I do not know if a 6v LED bulb flasher is available for use with 6v LED lamps). On my 6v positive-ground COE, I plan to place a 6v-12v converter under the dash and use 12v LED bulbs and a 12v LED flasher. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 1,756 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 1,756 | I mentioned that they all worked properly before I started the wire job/ I have regular bulbs in the front.

Too high voltage and they will burn out and too low and they seem to get dim really fast. Seems like you would almost need 2 leds that would work at different voltages.
