on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 54 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 54 | OK, I got the light switch out (though the shop manual was no help at all!) and I've got the dash out for stripping and paint. Now I can't figure out how to remove the glovebox door lock, any ideas? Thanks for any help. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | Mmm, I'm not sure as my memory is fading but this "could" be the way. If its mounted in the dash there is likely a small screw in the very back of the lock that you need to take out. Then the "shell" will come off the lock housing and the lock itself will pull out the front..... acording to my recollection. If I'm wrong I KNOW some bolter with a better memory than me will chime in. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 2,644 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 2,644 | That's funny, I just put mine in a couple weeks ago and now I can't remember how it works... but I think Alvin is right.
You will have to take the glovebox out first... that much I do know. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,377 Ex Hall Monitor | | Ex Hall Monitor Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,377 | That's funny, I just put mine in a couple weeks ago and now I can't remember how it works... That happens to you too?????
