Yeah, So being a kid that started his engine training in the age of fuel injection and Crank Sensors, I'm still on the learning curve with this.

When I test out my ign coil resistor I get the full 12.5 volts out of the other side of it. Seems to me the voltage is suposed to be reduced down to around 7 volts from what I read around here....

Someone agree with me, or slap some sense into me....

Ohm law says I = E/R. and E = IR. Now then if you have no load connected to resistor then E (voltage drop) is zero. Thus you will have 12 volt - just like you got. Connect a load and see what you get.

also disconnect one wire and measure the resistance across it, might be shorted out wink
