Was a leaf spring rear suspension available on the '64-'66 Chevy C10 trucks? All of the literature I have indicates the trailing arm/coil spring combination was the only rear suspension type.
I have a '66 Chevy C10 with a leaf spring rear suspension. It looks like the rear portion of the frame rails have been grafted from a donor frame and I am curious to know if it might be a factory '60-'66 rear frame/suspension assembly.

I have heard of a possibility of the leaf option on C10, though I've never seen one. GMC used leaves on all models. Could be a possibility that either you have a GMC frame or the rear section of a GMC frame was grafted on.

Leafs WERE an option in the later 67-72 truck when GMC/Chevy became the same truck only diff trim. But in 64-66 if you wanted 2wd w/leafs you bought a GMC. Brian

You will need to cut off the leaf perches & install coil spring mounts(readily available aftermarket). I have never done it but know lots of guys who have, so it must be fairly straitforward. Up to 72 is a bolt in but they are getting harder to find. Brian
