On todays trucks you put ramps on the tailgate and drive it up. Can we do this with a 1957? Will the chains hold?

I backed up to a lower spot in the ditch,put some 2x6 for my ramps
and pushed it right it................but then I had to unload it.. I forgot my truck was lowered and the fenders were now touching the tires......man, I was peeved after all the pushing and lifting I did to get it in...

I've used the forklift several times to load and unload mowers, just back the mower on the forks, pick it up and roll it off into the bed, repeat for unloading. Even if the forks aren't long enough to reach under the front wheels the deck sits on the forks and it works just fine.

tip the the mower over on its rear. back truck up close to the Mower. push it over so front wheels rest on the edge of the bed. lift up rear and shove in.
while doing all this make sure it's in park! only requirement you have to be able to lift about 300 pounds | | |
