I am having a really hard time getting my old 216 out of my 1946 Chevy Stylemaster Sedan. The confusion began when it came time to separate the engine from the transmission. I got the clutch bolts off no problem, got the bottom two trans bolts off no problem; one of the upper trans bots is against the firewall and the other isn't even visible. Whats the trick to getting this motor out. I don't have to pull the transmission and the engine together do I. Its a 216 stovebolt mated to a 3 speed column shifted trans.

If you lift the floor mat you will see.

one more question. When I am installing the new clutch, how do I get it lined up properly. I don't have one of those plastic tools?

I had a little problem with the clutch and linkage. I unbolted the clutch from underneath the car, and when pulled the engine out it feel out of the car. Thankfully i have another.

As long as your old oil canister is the style that has two oil lines (hoses), you may use it on a high-pressure 235.
