One of my vehicles has rubber lines, but short ones, and the other one I made out of a 25ft coil of steel lines so it would be one continous line from the back of the panel to the fuel pump.... but in all honesty I'd run metal. I am with Cletis: metal beats rubber. Rubber can provide help/safety in places that have movement/vibrations (as in brake hoses in key spots). I am using rubber in the last 12"-24" of fuel lines (and an in-line fuel filter) in a dual-carb set-up, but I know I should change to metal.
