For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 71 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 71 | My driver side vent window is broke at the bottom pivot point. It's a 1967 c10, the vent window frame was welded to the pivot bolt. Does anyone know how this could be repaired or is it better to try and find a used one? I'd try the swap meet ad for parts wanted and see what happens. I think that would be better than trying to straighten out a mess someone else made.....unless of coarse the assembly is a hard to find and expensive one. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 71 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 71 | Thanks for the reply. I've posted under parts wanted for one but so far no replies.

I think they are. If you have had no luck please let me know by shooting me a PM. I have a friend doing a 68 and has a parts truck. Maybe he has one I can get.....price would be "right" as he owes me a favor or two | | | | | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 71 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 71 | Achipmunk, I'm not sure if there is anything different other than cosmetics. If it fits and works in my door I'd be interested. I know LMC truck does not list a 67 vent window assembly but do for 68-72. Let me see what I can find out. You can make the later parts work with some modification but it never looks exactly right. Alvin might be correct on those vent windows from the 68 being the same though. It will be worth looking into. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 71 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 71 | The only difference I know of is the handle. In 67 it was attached to the inside of the vent window frame. On 68 and newer they are attached to a stud that goes through the glass. If that is the only difference I'd be happy to use one off of a 68. So far I've been unable to find out if that is the only difference. Mark | | |
