Cant get access to u joint,the propeller shaft should move to the rear to give me access to the u joint bolts,right? The tube has been bent and braced with angle iron a couple times. could this cause the issue?
These old bolts are in my blood. Hard thing is focusing on just one.

Seems the po had used perhaps a heavy duty 4 speed tranny and we could not get the u-joint to come out. There were not "indentions" on the rear collar of the tranny like on most 1/2 tons. So, we did the same thing. Pulled the rear end out. | | |
