I'm new to the restoration game and have minimal experience in working on clasics (my first car was a '76 Volare that I did most of the maintenance on). So I look forward to all of the advice and help I can get. I don't have it yet, but my better half has decided that I can buy a new toy... 1956 GMC V8 with a Hydra-matic tranny. Hopefully within the next 1-2 months I will be skinning my knuckles up nightly after work. And if anybody knows where I can find an owner's manual/technical publication for this beauty online, please let me know!
I look forward to talking to ya'll and learning all I can!

I got the usual "It ran when I parked it here..." Come to find out that was 4 years ago, but at least he drained the fuel tank and amazingly the oil and transmission fluid look and smell great! So in the next few weeks will drain and replace fluids and stick a new battery in her and see if she fires up! More pictures to follow as I progress.
