When you shortened the frame, did you get the axle lined up just right to accept the half ton drive shaft or get a custom one made up?

Shom, the 1/2 Ton would have had a Torque Tube, the Big truck would have been open drive line, I'm sure he just cut down the big truck axle to the length he needed.

My question is going that short Tory are you going to have to change the Pinion angle of the rear axle? And what happened to using the rounded rear fenders from the big truck place?

I shortened the forward drive shaft and moved the hanger bearing forward. The position of the hanger bearing is the same as the smaller trucks with the same open drive shafts.Used the factory assembly manual for the measurement reference .

The rounded rear fenders looked to modern the more I thought about it .I wanted it to look like it came from the 50's still .I hope to have the fenders finished this weekend to see how it will look ?

I havent done much to the truck in a long time.Been working out at the farm clearing trees reshaping ponds and creeks.Working on a new shop 40x60 with a 12x60 overhang.Any money and time have been spent there and not on the truck.Last August I hit my head at work still recovering slowly from that trying to get back to my hobbies and life.
