For helping keep this great

on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! My Uncle traded a 49 coupe straight across with a guy who needed a car and had a truck. This was in 1955. Driven as a regular farm truck for the next twenty years when my uncle purchased a new 77 Ford and the old girl was now just used at the farm. The last 15 years it's been stored in a nice metal shed with some antique tractors. it had been started and driven around the farm on a pretty regular basis. She's a great old all original truck. Paint don't shine much anymore but that's ok. we'll get new rubber under her and make her our little putts around truck. iI reside in Wichita, Kansas the truck spent it's Life in Greensburg, Kansas home of the Largest hand-dug well and F-4 Tornado. Cool that you have the history of the truck in your family. My truck came from your neck of the woods too. Just don't drive into that well you speak of.

Sounds like you have yourself a pretty neat truck and with some history behind it. I agree with Leo, trucks don't have to be shiny!
How about a pic when you can get to it. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 3,750 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 3,750 | Hi Patrick, welcome from Scotland. As the guys say,it's great to know the history of your new toy. OK,so the paint doesn't shine anymore, but that's part of the aging process, it's a bit like us getting grey hair! I think it looks quite distinguished......(JMO) Don't forget the See you around the 'bolt. Jock 1950 Chevy Advance Design 3100 in ScotlandIn the Stovebolt GalleryMore pix on Flickr. Congratulations on getting the family truck, and Welcome to Stovebolt!! | | | | | Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 59 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 59 | Hey Patrick dang nice truck considering its age. I think everyone would clamer over that one. BTW I would love to have that 49 coupe if I had the chance back then!
