I need to remove the door on my truck to complete the paintwork on my cab; however, I need some help with the removal process.
My doors are nicely aligned, they close with one finger push...pure luck, nothing I did....but now I need to remove them.

Should I unbolt them from the door bolts or take them off from the hinges....or it doesn't even matter????

Thank you very much in advance....would love to save the aligment of them.

drill you a hole and stick you a roll pin in it so that when you put the door back on you can align it right where it is.....or just drill the holes and use them for lineup...... or use a sharp scratch awl and scribe a mark you can see when you put them back on.

If they close thet good you are a lucky man....when/if you put new weatherstripping on the doors be sure to get the good stuff that will "give" a little bit or they may not close tight for a while....you may have to push on the door a little to close it after the weatherstripping. smile

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
