The old speedometer cable is too short. Is it difficult to replace? Would a standard speedometer cable for TH350 from lokar be long enough?

Also, it is getting a new transmission fluid cooler. My friends tell me I should run it inline with the radiator. Their logic behind this is it will occasionally get cold enough for the fluid to be too cold to allow the tranny to shift properly. The radiator will help warm the fluid they say. It might get to the teens once every few years here in Texas. Although it will freeze several times. Is this important? | | |

The trans cooler question is one everyone will have a different opinion on. Here's mine. In our climate I don't think it makes much difference. I'd just let it warm a little if it's below freezing before driving. I do that anyway to get the heater going. Then take it easy 'til the tranny warms. | | |

It worked for me at NAPA. Always ask the oldest guy there for assist. | | |
