Hi everyone,

I'm installing my headlights and brand new wiring. Which headlights are the brights and which ones are just the regular lights? Is it the inner or the outer lights?

Also, when the brights are on, do all of the lights come on, or just two?

The low beam is on the outside. The low beam is on when the high beams are on.

Hy REAL_RAT_FINK, on a four headlight system when the headlights are horizontal the inner headlights are high beam only, when you activate the high beams all four headlights are on high beam. This was actually a question on my final exam to get my mechanics ticket, as was the case with a lot of the questions, the true correct answer was not among the answers. Firstly the question did not specify the layout horizontal or vertical, and no answer said all four lights, hope that helps.

and to add a bit, there should be 3 pin sockets on the outside, 2 pin on the inners - so of course 2 different bulbs

Just to add to what's already been said - the outer lights have 2 fillament bulbs, on low beam, the outer light's low-beam fillament is on, on high beam, the outer light's high-beam fillament is on and the inner light's single fillament comes on.
