I need to align my AD hood. The Stovebolt tutorial specifies that the left fender-to-firewall brace rod should be 27" and the right 27 1/4".
But which is left and right? Is that when standing in front looking at them, or as if sitting in cab?
Perhaps 'Driver's Side Length' and 'Passenger's Side Length' would be clearer.
Anyway, one of my rods is slighltly bent, so it's not obvious which way is correct.
Anyone out there who's done this, can you set me straight?
Thanks.

discussing vehicles, left is always the drivers side regardless of where you're standing or sitting .... unless you're in a country where the drivers side is the wrong side wink

They are referenced when standing from the front as shown in figure 7 here:

Thank you! I printed that procedure out.

See what I mean by confusion? Already got two completely different answers!

PS- anyone know what size wrench fits those square nuts holding the hinges to the body?

Thanks.

Those square nuts are welded in place and you shouldn't need to wrench on them. The bolts come from inside the cab and they are 9/16"

Wouldn't that be the right side
