Taint all that much to it and you know you'll take better care of the paint job than some guy in Hoboken. Here a few pics of the process in this Steering album, might give you some ideas. http://www.pbase.com/dennygraham/steering&page=1 Denny Graham Sandwich, IL

Don't take the ball nut apart though. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. I rebuilt the upper and lower boxes, I even took the ball nut apart to check the races, and bearings. I was fortunate as everything was only slightly worn. I repacked everything, and now the old girl shifts as smooth as can be. | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 1,048 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 1,048 | I had no problem rebuilding mine including the nut. Actually all it neaded was a good cleaning and a new output shaft seal. | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 9,671 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 9,671 |
