Would like to get an old chevy truck, but I can't decide what I want to look for, and what i can get for a good price. What would be the best one? If you can, add pics too

A lot depends on what you are going to do with it. If you want a good daily driver the 67-72 work the best. If you want a great collector the 55-59 are cool. Stay away from the 60-62. They have a tortion bar front end & are hard to find parts for & the parts can be expensive. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. The '60 thru '62 trucks are great as well!! LOL!! Sure the front assy. parts are harder to find, but think about the challenge....
Also, I thought the '47 thru '55 first series AD Chevy's would be more collectable then the '55-'59. Personal choice I guess. | | | | Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 2,554 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 2,554 | look through the gallery pages, plenty of pictures there. 1951 3100 Chevrolet1951 Chevrolet Suburban CarryallImage"A house is built with boards and beams. Look over the trucks and find things about each year you like such as quad head lights or, a pair of singles. Wrap around windshield or, flat. Stepside , Fleetside short or long. The list goes on and on. Once you decide, just shop around. And as bowtietim says " look deep before you leap" Sound Advice Indeed.
