It has been thirty yrs since i worked on one. need to find places here or somewhere on the net for specs on all sizes and aspects of the chevy 6 stock and modified. The other board I belong to was not very helpful or friendly. Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Lou. H. :p

Try the links section first, there's bound to be a few places that has what you're looking for.

You also might try the Old Chevy Manual Project . Find the pertinent shop manual and have a gander.

Shop manuals regularly sell on eBay, if you'd like one to peruse offline.

Welcome to the Stovebolt! Some of the other discussion boards can be a little reserved....we on the other hand are very friendly and helpful but folks usually respond better to specific questions/problems than to general concepts. As to a one-place-has-it-all resource I don't know of one. I suggest you search the tech tips on this site as well as the links pages to other sites. Search these forums for specific questions and you can find lots of info. Good luck.

You got that right Frank 50 They just banned me for a week because I POLITLY told the moderators I thought they were wrong. I have been a member on this board for a few yrs. I went to the tech section and found a lot of good info.I will get into the links later today. Thanks Lou. H.

For a very complete reference on the late model 6's (230,250,292) Leo Santucci's book Chevy 6 Cylinder Power Manual is excellent.

another great resource for hi po stuff for the chevy sixes is www.inliners.org, if you haven't been there yet.

not alot of people over there, but very knowledgable ones at that.

Samwise is correct. Anything any everything you'd ever want to know about the 6's at inliner's, and a great group too boot.

One other source that might be of help, depending upon the vintage of that 6 you're working on is the VCCA (Vintage Chevy Club of America) website and forums.

Can't imagine that you wouldn't be able to find whatever answer you seek here though.

What you did on the other board was anything but polite. You tried to start a war with the moderators about your post being moved to the proper forum not getting your queation answered when it had been answered 14 hours earlier. You didn't even look before you posted your rage. That us why you have been banned for one week.

What's amazing is that you can post in the engine and driveline forum here, but not there.
