I will be buying tires for my 54 3100 with original equipment... They vary somewhat with style. 1951 GMC 1 Ton Flatbed -- It is finally on the road and what a great time I have driving it! 1951 1 Ton Completed My Chevy Master 4 Door is on the Road!

That just told me what the width of the tire was and not the actual tread width... I found online a site that told me all the dimensions but the tread width... Emailed a couple of tire sites waiting to hear back... Tire stores around here seem to have a shortage of the 215 to measure... Lots of 225 and up... It seems the best size for radials is the 215/85-16 as cletis posted... I will be going with the LT type... The tread width of a Cooper SRM II Radial LT (Light Truck) 215/85/16 is 5.93". A narrower rim would result in the same tread width, but would also result in a narrower section width and a higher/wider loaded diameter (a narrower and "faster" tire). As has been stated many times, from 10 or more feet, these tires look like bias-ply tires.
