Is it sheltered now? and Do you have shelter to store it? Being in WVA (I grew up there) the rust demons are not kind to old iron. Might be a pretty cool rig if you wanted to go into the pole barn business. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 305 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 305 | i have a new 1945 cab to go on it and yep it is 12000 wih the drill rig

We use mini excavators or even augers on skid steers, those augers are only 20" diameter, way to small for footings now a days. Is it a unidyne or teledyne? The crane reach would be about 35' or so if you have the fiberglass jib attached. Just my 2 cents, fwiw. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 5,152 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 5,152 | Is it something you really want? Then you should buy it.
If you're looking at it because it's there and for sale Grigg's assessment would probably be enough to stop me.

What difference does it make anyway? You could get your $ back by parting out the 4x4 running gear and other parts. Even if you don't need it, YOU SHOULD SAVE IT.

If it is missing the auger gear, it will be impodssible to find. 4x4 components are easy enough to get. If it is the truck Grigg thinks it is, I have climbed over it and it is ROUGH, and missing alot of stuff.
