I am sorry if this is a dumb question, but I have an Impact wrench that I used this morning, and danged if I dont know how to put oil in it. The book says oil it, and I can clearly see the small area on the handle where the oil goes in, but I cant just push in on that and add oil because it wont push in.

How do I do oil this thing?

I just put a couple drops in the air intake on mine every couple days. cheap HF units.

I oil mine the same way, a few drops before I connect the air hose and its good to go.
One thing I found out is if you put to much oil in be prepared to have blown all over the place. I normally hold a rag loosly over the exhaust and hit the trigger for a few seconds to blow out any extra oil.

...mine has a small set screw I take out and drop in a few drops...but as someone said, just put some in the air intake and it'll find its way to the right place..... It will probably spit oil out for a while depending on how much you put in it. Usually about 3-4 drops once a week is ok unless you use it a LOT then do it two or three times a week.

We have oilers with sight glasses on the lines we use for pneumatic tools. This is the easy way, and about the only way for grinders and stuff that run at high speeds for a long time. Also, If you have a steady mist, you don't have the oil come out right at first and they have a film of oil when you put them up. This is especially important in high humidity near the dew point where metal sweats.

Go with two to three drops before using it each day.
