When the pin moves, it will occasionally launch itself like a rocket, so don't get very close to the axle while you're pushing on the pin. That 10-foot high pressure hose on the Porto-Power is just about the right "safe" distance for me. Jerry

A hydraulic and portable king pin press can, that's what this thread is about.
I think it's fairy obvious that you can simply take the whole axle to a shop to press them out... if you have the axle out of the truck.

When you talk about rocketing things off a gargage floor you may want to consider alternatives. Home made tools are exactly that home made and carry inherent risks from any standpoint.
