I think I am gonna start hanging out here on the stovebolt page , the rest of the truck site's are just focused on those DANG BIG WHEEL'S they all want 32'' diameter wheel's with ruber band slice sized tire's , I also have a 67 camaro and the camaro site's are the same
TECH SECTION IS MADE UP OF : WHAT IS THE BIGGEST WHEEL I CAN FIT ON MY CAR ?

but anyway who else on here has a 67 truck ? I have a 1967 C-10 and I am not asshamed to say that I like e'm the way GM ment us to like them with all the wonderfull stock stuff that they came with , here is a couple shots of my 67

Most likely the best truck I ever owned was my 67 K20 drove it 15 years spent $2.02 on repairs on 292 six. 4speed ,high/low range 4 wheel drive, still runs at 200,000 miles with 4:56 to 1 rear end gears, like driveing most pickups in second gear , body all rusted out gave it to my son he'd like to rebuild it need about every piece of sheet metal , frames OK, BILL

I love them! I have a restored 1968, with a stock 396, th400, A/C, tach dash, cruise control, wood bed truck, that I would rather drive any day than a new one.
I also have a 1968 A/C parts truck, another 1968 which I'm going to street rod, and a 1971 A/C truck with a 402 big block.

I have a '70 GMC. The 67's are very cool. I like stock too. I say, "It was designed that way for a reason."

I had a '68 that I drove for many years. It was the best truck I have ever owned. Pretty much the same as a '67, although mine had the big back window. I also had a '72 and a '69 but, the '68 was my favorite.

1967ontree, get to know TC as he specializes in the '67-72 pickemups.

Good looking truck. Glad your not into running the big tires.

Outstanding looking truck. I'm pure stocker fan as well. I do not own any of that series yet. My brother had a brand new '72 and I really liked that truck. But in recent years, I have come to think that the 67 has the cleanest lines of that series and has become my favorite. There is a picture book of Chevy trucks that I have around somewhere, and it has a couple of 67 deluxe longbeds. One in black and the other in a nice metallic blue. Better than factory condition, with all the high line accessories. Fantastic looking trucks. I'll see if I can dig up the name for you. The owner of the trucks is from Florida.
Maybe as the years go on, and your funds accumulate, you might try to acquire some Chrome hubcaps and bumpers, to trade off every few years to keep 'em guessing at the truck shows!

I have a 67 1/2 ton long wheelbase that I gave $100 for back in 1980. It needed an engine, and I had a 307 that I put in it. I figured that if it worked I would use it as a daily driver and if not I would make a trailer out of it. I drove it every day to work and wore out the 307. I had not had a good 6 cylinder truck for a long time, and found a 67 250 that I gave $25 for. It is now in it and I still use the truck, but not every day. It just doesn't seem to wear out. It as been a great daily driver.

I've always thought the 67 & 68 models to be one of the cleanest looking Chevy trucks. I had a 67 one ton GMC for a while that someone came along and offered a lot more than I thought it was worth, so I let it get away.

Your truck is killer! Basic black and white, how can you go wrong with that!

I am a big fan of the "Big & Little" look aka "Rubber Rake", but not the "Big Wheel" craze. The big wheel look reminds me of old Connestoga Wagons with those crazy big wheels and rubber band tires. :-)

K10 , I did the plain jane white bumper white hubcap's thing on purpose , I had actualy hunted for a truck like this , it is as some say THE POVERTY LOOK they call my hubcap's POVERTY CAP's
I think that for year's the only truck people wanted was the ones with all option's and that is great but the no nonsense look is cool to and I don't plan to ever change it ,
the only change I have planned for the truck is fix the bed floor it has the original steel bed floor and is banged up so I want to either make it look like the rest of the truck or swap to a wood floor ,
this truck had only one option from the factory listed on the spec sticker A HEATER !

673, that is a lovely truck. Before I got my '51 I had a '67 shorty with a 283 and your trans. It was a rust bucket I bought for not much, but it alwatys worked without a hitch and that 283 was dead quiet, I mean not a sound except for the intake under full throttle. And that transmission is fun to drive in a light truck, I don't care what anyone says. My '51 is getting an '81 250. I have to buy some stuff to make it look older, though.

Only thing I would change on your truck (if it was mine) is the mirrors. I like to be able to see everything easily.

Mine is not as original looking as 19673ontree but close. Original blue but white trim has been replaced with silver. Some driveline changes but still has the original 283. Poverty caps come from a camaro. Picture at:

I did some thinking about the mirrors and considered the white west coast jr mirrors but they would not look right on the truck , it only came with the driver side like is on it now I added the passenger side ,,

1967, I'm with you on the poverty caps.
Here's a shot of my 61 with the same look, so I'm not shooting you for it!

I did find som chrome caps and I can get chrome bumpers any old time. It was just a thought for the future to be able to change it up some.

I LOVE '67's. I was looking for one when I bought my '46. But you know what they say, "Man plans and God laughs". I guess it's true because I found an awesome deal on my '46. But I still have a '67 short bed fleetside in my future. (HA HA HA,"HE" said)

I've got a '67 chevy longbox 2wd that i built from the frame up, with a '72 frame for the disc brakes. I painted it flat black and put a 327/saginaw 4 speed in it, and did it up like a gasser out out of the late 60's. I love those trucks, but now i'm getting into older stuff, like my '40 that i'm doing right now.
